ABOUT ART HOUSE

Art House Gori Interior

CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE IN GORI

ART HOUSE is an independent contemporary art space and research platform based in Gori, Shida Kartli. Established as a living hub for creative dialogue and artistic experimentation, Art House brings together contemporary Georgian and international artists through site-specific installations, retrospective exhibitions, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Our program is anchored in the belief that contemporary art spaces outside the capital are vital for decentralizing culture. We host curated solo and group exhibitions, publish monographs and limited-edition artist books, produce educational podcasts (such as Was ist Kunst), and organize public talks and workshops for local communities.

The space also houses an active residency program that invites curators, researchers, and practitioners to immerse themselves in the rich historical and social landscape of the Shida Kartli region.

THE SPACE & PHILOSOPHY

Housed in a distinct architectural setting, Art House was conceived as an adaptable canvas. The exhibition halls feature state-of-the-art museum lighting, modular partition walls, and high ceilings designed to accommodate large-scale canvas works, sculptural interventions, and immersive multimedia projections.

In addition to our physical exhibition spaces, Art House operates an ongoing digital archive documenting post-Soviet and contemporary regional art practices, making these critical cultural narratives accessible to researchers worldwide.
